Vincent Ward, artist and film director, will host An Art Auction Evening with Vincent Ward, a charity auction to benefit The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and local artists, at the Pah Homestead TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre, 72 Hillsborough Road, on Thursday August 23 at 6pm.

Works by Ward and other prominent artists will be auctioned, along with other items.

“The pieces I’ll be auctioning capture our hopes, yearnings, aspirations,” Ward says. “While these are universal, my art, like most of my films, tends to focus around women.”

Courage is a common theme of the artworks up for auction, which are smaller in size than some of Ward’s exhibited works.
