Everyone is invited to indulge their cupcake obsession and feed their sweet tooth all in the name of charity. Though cupcake camps are held around the world, Cupcake Camp by the Sea to be held in Christchurch is a first of its kind in New Zealand. This is a volunteer run event, with proceeds going to Breath4CF.

There are many ways you can get involved in Cupcake Camp by the Sea. You can bake cupcakes and donate them to the event for others to taste as well as to be judged by a team of expert and celebrity judges. Cupcake donations are also encouraged from non-bakers, we suggest that you order cupcakes from the fine folks at Cupcake Collection in Beckenham. Even if you do not bring cupcakes, you are most welcomed to attend for the cupcake and wine tasting.

Wine tasting? That’s right! The lovely ladies from Sirens’ Wines will be on hand to deliver tasting notes (and glasses of wine) for everyone attending. From Riesling to Pinots and Bubbles on arrival, what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Proceeds from Christchurch’s Cupcake Camp by the Sea will go to benefit Breath4CF, a grant that supports people with Cystic Fibrosis to stay healthy via physical activity and sport.

Cupcake Camp by the Sea – Christchurch is happening on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Connect Cafe in the New Brighton Mall from 2:30-4:30. Tickets to the Charity event range from $12- $15 and tickets can be purchased from the official website.
