Lockwood builders from around the country will have their tool belts primed to begin building the two bedroom home at 10am on Saturday 28th November at the Lockwood Expo, National Show Village, Rotorua. With only 32 hours to complete the house the builders will be up against the clock to get the home finished in time for the Charity auction at 4pm on Sunday.

Bargain hunters are expected to keep the Harcourts auctioneer’s hammer busy when bidding on the new home gets underway at 4pm. Proceeds from the sale will go to the great New Zealand charity the Life Education Trust – a not-for-profit organisation that educates children on making decisions that lead to a healthy lifestyle.

The Life Education Trust and Lockwood have been overwhelmed with the support from suppliers who have generously donated all the products required to complete the house, as well as a long list of extra features to fit out the house valued over $31,000. The full list can be found at lockwood.co.nz.

The auction is part of the inaugural Lockwood Expo, an event which showcases the diverse and modern range of Lockwood home designs alongside numerous exhibits, with in show home seminars and house tours also available.

If you don’t win the auction then there are some other incredible prizes and discounts throughout the weekend of the Expo. You could be driving away in a top of the line Toyota Prius i-Tech valued at $62,000 if you are the lucky winner drawn from the first 20 people to place a confirmed order for a Lockwood home. Or you and a friend could be winging your way to Sydney just by registering your genuine interest in building a Lockwood home.

A number of specialists have been enlisted by Lockwood to give seminars where housing enthusiasts and expo visitors can learn more about the Lockwood range and the building process. Topics covered will focus on areas including interior design, sustainable design and landscaping.
