Get the Family Sorted this Easter Weekend with FREE ENTRY to the Coca-Cola Easter Show!

Kids of all ages will be sorted this Easter long weekend with the return of the Coca-Cola Easter Show at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds.  Open 10am to 10pm daily from Thursday April 17th to Monday April 21st with FREE ENTRY to all, the show offers more in the way of BIG RIDES and even bigger entertainment than ever before!

“With a show of this size, families are hard pressed to see everything we have to offer in just one day, so with a free gate they’re able to come back each day of the event to maximise their Easter holiday enjoyment,” says CEO of ASB Showgrounds, Mark Frankham.

An iconic Auckland event, the Coca-Cola Easter Show is all about bringing town and country together for five days of non-stop family fun. 

Visitors can go from watching sheep dog trials to watching a high-energy act on the Flava Fresh Main Stage, to then seeing street performers perform their unique shows while wandering through the busy marketplace, then grabbing a bite to eat before hitting the scream-your-lungs-out rides and topping it all off with a spectacular fireworks show at the end of a very big day!

For the littlest showgoers, the Cookie Bear Roadshow offers all sorts of kiddie rides and games, while the New Zealand Dairy Cowbassador Rosie the Cow presents a fun-filled interactive live ‘cowmedy’ for the kids about our diary industry.  The Pinocchio Live Show then brings to life the classic tale of the wooden puppet that is turned into a real boy.

Farmworld offers four huge halls of prize winning livestock competition as well as the favourite lambs, ducklings, pigs, chickens and more to feed and cuddle.  New to the show in 2014 is Little Cooks, located in Pavilion 2 kids are invited to come along create, and decorate their own cupcake masterpieces.

Also this year in celebration of the LEGO® MOVIE coming to cinemas April 17, Warner Bros. Pictures are giving people the chance to meet the star of the LEGO® movie, Emmet at the show between 12.30pm – 2.30pm daily!

For bigger kids, Zirka Circus returns to the Coca-Cola Easter Show with a brand new edge-of-your-seat spectacular show while the Flava Fresh Main Stage brings together a melting pot of cultural acts from Samoan dancers to the Scottish Papakura Pipe Band.

Global award winning hip-hop dance group The Royal Family Megacrew will also be performing live on stage, choreographed by the exceptionally talented Paris Goebal who is taking the international dance world by storm with her amazing dance vision and stunning routines. 

The return of the Mahons Amusements BIG RIDES will test even the bravest of the brave whether it is on the Turbo Boost; New Zealand’s most extreme travelling Carnival ride standing 40m tall, spinning at over 120km per hour and pulling 3.5 extreme Gs, or long time crowd favourite the Hurricane; taking you up and down 40ft into the air; the Roundup, Scream Machine or Gravitron, the Coca-Cola Easter Show has something to take the air out of your lungs and get your pulse racing for the entire holiday weekend.

And don’t forget your togs as you’ll want to have a go on New Zealand’s largest inflatable waterslide – the SuperFly.  Standing over 11 meters tall and 55 meters long it features three awesome sliding lanes, left and right high speed, curved and banked slide chutes and one main straight super chute for maximum thrills!

The Strong Man competition on Friday and Saturday is always a crowd eye-opener with the strongest arms and legs in the country showing their incredible feats of strength and endurance.  Finally every night of the Coca-Cola Easter Show ends with a bang in the form of a free spectacular fireworks show above the ASB Showgrounds.
