Meet the star of THE LEGO® MOVIE at the Coca-Cola Easter Show!

In celebration of THE LEGO® MOVIE coming to cinemas April 17, Warner Bros. Pictures and the Coca-Cola Easter Show are giving you the chance to meet the star of THE LEGO® MOVIE - Emmet - at The 2014 Coca-Cola Easter Show between 12.30pm – 2.30pm daily.

THE LEGO® MOVIE is the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure. Directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” “21 Jump Street”) the original 3D computer-animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO® minifigure who is mistakenly identified as The Special, the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

ASB Showgrounds CEO Mark Frankham is delighted to welcome the character of Emmet to the Coca-Cola Easter Show in 2014.

“We’re thrilled that Emmet is going to be part of this year’s show, he’s a wonderful addition to our already huge line-up of family entertainment throughout the long weekend,” he said.

“From Emmet’s special appearance, to our free live shows of ‘Pinocchio’ and the New Zealand Dairy Cowbassador, ‘Rosie the Cow’, to the always popular Cookie Bear Roadshow, there’s plenty of activities for the kids of all ages to enjoy!”

With FREE ENTRY to the public in 2014, the return of the big rides from Mahons Amusements, the classic A&P Show with its incredible assortment of animals of all shapes and sizes, to the cultural performances on the Flava Fresh Main Stage, through to a spectacular fireworks display each night and more, the Coca-Cola Easter Show is set to retain its place as the number one entertainment event for families in and around the Auckland region this Easter.

“We’re expecting five big days of excitement for all the family,” says Frankham.
