A Richmond resident expecting her first baby has won a year’s worth of free bread and milk in a Muffin Break competition.

Angela Ladds entered the Muffin Break Win a Year’s Worth of Bread and Milk competition at her local Muffin Break Richmond store while out to lunch with her husband Andrew.

Entrants were required to buy a Gourmet Tartlet and Coffee combo at Muffin Break, and share what they would do with the extra five minutes they could save by winning the free staple pantry items. Winners were those that provided the most creative or interesting response.

For 34-year-old Angela, that was to “Eat more! Love more! Dance more! Work less!”, which she says she came up with on the spot as it’s all the things she loves doing the most. She will now get her chance to put that into practice after being named the South Island winner of the prize, valued at over $800.

The win has come at the perfect time for Angela and Andrew, as the pair will welcome their first baby at the beginning of November.

“It will save us a lot of money, especially with the baby coming,” says Angela. “My mum and aunty are coming over from Colombia to stay with us when the baby arrives also, and staying for hopefully around six months, so it will be good for them too.”

The Muffin Break Win a Year’s Worth of Bread and Milk competition gave away two of the high-value prize packages – one in the South Island and one in the North Island – which include two loaves of Nature’s Fresh bread and two 2 litre bottles of Meadow Fresh Milk per week for 52 weeks.
