No matter what time of the year you go to Vanuatu, there is always something extremely pleasant to do, whether it is SCUBA diving, game fishing or taking a helicopter to Kakula Island for a romantic picnic, or simply lazing by the infinity pool at the lodge. Lately the cooler water temperatures of around 25 degrees (Exactly! Not what we would call cooler!), have made for great fishing with lots of mahi mahi and marlin being caught. These cooler sea temperatures also bring the dolphins, turtles and dugongs who love to loll around off the beach at Villa 25 to the delight of the guests. This is the time of year when Kiwis look to warmer climes to dust off their winter blues, and Villa 25 in Vanuatu is the perfect location for couples or groups of friends to relax and enjoy some sunshine. Villa 25 is also a wonderful place for family holidays as there are so many activities for young people to enjoy.

Water temperatures at this time of the year vary between 25 and 32 degrees, making Villa 25 the perfect place to learn to dive. The course generally takes three half days, which are tailored to suit the guests, rather than the other way around, giving lots of time in between, or after, to do more diving or to take in the other sights of Vanuatu, and, of course, to enjoy the delights of Villa 25 and its environs

Villa 25 also now has a new air-conditioned 15-seater van to take their guests around the island, stopping at the various picturesque spots along the way – swim with the turtles and sharks, see the baby turtles at the turtle sanctuary, stop for a swim and enjoy a picnic or one of the great restaurants around the island for lunch – well worth the trip and it gives a good insight into life in Vanuatu for the local people.

Some of the best snorkelling in Vanuatu is right outside the door (reef shoes – a selection of sizes are supplied – should be worn when swimming in the sea due to sharp coral and there can be spiny sea urchins. Any cuts or scrapes should be treated immediately.) and kayaks and paddle boards are available for all the guests at Villa 25 to use during their stay.

Kris is the Villa 25 residential manager who looks after her guests’ every need, so for anyone contemplating a late winter holiday in beautiful Vanuatu, contact Kris now through the website at http://vanuatuaccommodation.vu/ or email her at relax@villa25.vu .
