Persistent fruit flies?

At a recent international meeting attended by ACES pest control the subject of treating fruit flies was addressed.

Fruit flies present a couple of issues when controlling them. (i) they are resistant to most chemicals and treatments available (ii) they are breed prolifically and quickly inside inaccessible areas  e.g. floor drain.

One of the Pest Control companies uses foam to (i) kill off the fruit flies in the drains by smothering them and (ii) act as a carrier for any chemicals that are effective against fruit flies.

Pest control companies used machines that can generate foam, copious amounts of foam and at pressure. The net result is that drains and spaces can be filled with foam from a distant entry point.

Persistent fruit flies in your business? the answer could be FOAM and lots of it!

NOTE: Caution needs to be taken treating drains that access storm water systems. to ensure chemicals do not harm the environment.
