Mike and Annemarie Gallagher were delighted to win the Daily Post Hospitality and Attractions Award for their business, Arista of Rotorua.  Since taking on the former Cedar Lodge Motel in May 2011 the couple have worked hard to create a successful enterprise. Over the past three years they've rebranded and revamped the once run-down motel, overcome personal adversity, and striven to make their mark in Rotorua's competitive hospitality industry.

The couple know their strengths, value their team, and strive to deliver that good old-fashioned Kiwi hospitality. The property offers the largest rooms of its kind in Rotorua, with rooms ranging from 62sqm – 150sqm and each unit hosting a spa pool. The heating system is thermal so the rooms are warm all winter. Wifi is delivered via fibre optic giving guests the option get through their work faster or share the fun they are having in Rotorua on social media. For mountain bikers, there is a mountain bike hose down and safe storage.

Arista of Rotorua is looking forward to continuing with its social giving projects and would love other business to jump on board. The Gallaghers would like to thank their staff and all those involved helping get the business the high standard it is today.
