The intrepid team at Viva Expeditions offer a wide selection of cruise and land-based packages for travellers interested in visiting the Galapagos Islands, including specialty scuba diving cruises, land-based scuba diving programmes and multisport packages. All programmes include three meals per day, all excursions, transport (cruise or land), accommodation and expert naturalist guides.

Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands offer some of the best displays of wildlife in the world. Due to the isolation and unique environment of these volcanic islands many of the animals of the Galapagos have developed into different species from their continental relatives, and because they have never experienced man as a predator they show no fear of humans, allowing people to walk amongst and even swim with the animals on land and in the sea.

Travellers can explore the islands with an expert naturalist guide, who will explain the fascinating geology and history of an eco-world that takes you back millions of years, taking the opportunity to walk, swim, snorkel, photograph, and observe the abundant variety of wildlife on each island.

Various options are available for visitors to the Galapagos Islands including cruise and land based packages ranging from 3 to 15 days. There are a variety of options for trekkers and swimmers, writers and readers, painters and photographers, bird watchers and divers. Visitors have the options of cruising around the Archipelago, an island hopping package, multisport adventure options, scuba dive packages or a combination of all of the above.

The islands you can visit include South Seymour (Baltra) Island, Bartolome Island (perhaps the most photographed location in the Galapagos Islands), Fernandina Island, Espanola (Hood) Island, Floreana (Charles) Island, Isabela Island, North Seymour Island, Santa Cruz Island and Genovesa (Tower) Island.

Intending travellers should note that prices exclude Galapagos National Park admission fee (US $100 subject to change without notice) and the obligatory Transit Control Card for Galapagos (US$ 10 per person). Price also excludes hireage of wet suits, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and all gratuities, gifts and additional items. The itineraries and programme are subject to change without prior notice, due mainly to adjustments in the policies and regulations of the Galapagos National Park, weather conditions, seasonal changes and safety reasons.
