NORTHWEST SHOPPING CENTRE TO PROVIDE NEW LOCAL DINING OPTIONS

The northwest region of Auckland is undergoing a rapid transformation, bringing with it improved transport links, new homes and community facilities, and a wealth of entertainment and dining options.
Nestled within the developing Westgate Town Centre, NorthWest Shopping Centre’s planned October opening provides an enticing mix of retail and over 15 dining options from upmarket cafes to staple favourites such as Kiwi Grill, Hungry Wok, Pita Pit, KiwiYo and The Coffee Club.
Satiating locals’ desire for fresh and new dining options in a high-calibre setting, and bringing a taste of inner-city contemporary café dining to the northwest, is the owner of popular Grey Lynn café ohSO, Edison Zajmi.
Mr Zajmi says he couldn’t be more pleased with the potential to grow his business and offer his sought-after cuisine in the fast-growing northwest region.
“ohSO café is known for its friendly service and good modern European food. The yet-to-be-named café we are opening in NorthWest Shopping Centre will offer the same great menu, including several of our signature dishes such as the German Farmer's Breakfast and Nani's Burger, made using my Albanian father's traditional recipe. Locals can expect quality and fresh choices from our wide-ranging menu, from soup and fish of the day, to ‘build your own’ options, and popular cabinet foods.”

The growing popularity and demand for international cuisines hasn’t escaped NorthWest Shopping Centre, with Mad Mex and Habitual Fix set to join the dining mix.
James Tucker, group managing director of Mad Group – the Fast 50 owner of Habitual Fix and Mad Mex – says, “The northwest region has lacked a top quality, modern shopping centre and currently there is no other decent Mexican cuisine offering which we will be changing soon. I think locals will be impressed with not only the quality of NorthWest Shopping Centre, but with the store designs and fit-outs within it. We are certainly raising the bar in terms of store design for our Habitual Fix and Mad Mex stores.
