Haysom Print are a small but experienced team that offers affordable quality printing services throughout Auckland and New Zealand and there are many benefits to taking advantage of their myriad services. For instance, if someone has an urgent job, the experienced team at Haysom Print will dispatch it as soon as humanly possible.  When a job is designed  on the computer a file is created which may be a Word, Publisher, Adobe Indesign or PDF file to name just a few and the Haysom Print team print directly from that file. If the customer needs changes made, 99% of the time the team can make them.

Also, Haysom Print keep all files and artwork at their premises for a minimum of five years so that customers can retrieve them whenever they need to. Some people question why the unit price goes up the fewer that get printed, and the reason is that the big proportion of the cost of getting anything printed is in the setup of the equipment. Whether you are printing 50 brochures or 5,000, it still takes the same amount of time to set up the machine.

The Haysom Print team are also very particular about proofing every printing job, as once a job is printed they can't change anything. As they obviously want their customers to be happy with the finished job, they insist on the customer coming in to the shop as there are some things only the customer can check.

The professional team at Haysom Print are very happy to explain the different types and thickness of paper and card as follows: There are two main types of stock. Coated (sometimes called art stocks) and Uncoated. Coated stocks come in both Gloss and Satin finishes. Uncoated stocks have a slightly rougher or matt finish. Standard photocopy paper is an 80gsm uncoated stock. Here are some stock recommendations.

•Budget Flyer. Paper recommended 80-100gsm uncoated.

•Letterhead. Paper recommended  100-120gsm uncoated.

•Quality Brochure. Paper recommended  115-180gsm coated.

Business Cards. Card recommended  280-350gsm coated or uncoated.

•NOTE  Colour photos and images with very fine details reproduce better on coated stock. Satin is just as good as Gloss. GSM means Grams per Square Metre and is a measure of the weight of a paper. Generally the higher the weight, the thicker and stiffer the paper or card.
