This month has seen Karl George Burgess at BD14 work alongside Jump-rope website developers. Jump-rope is a locally owned business in Palmerston North and together they have been developing a website for BD14, which is planned to go live by the end of August. Karl believes that this website will prove to be very important in the further development and growth of BD14. At this stage the website won’t be used by customers to book drivers, but will be used to help inform and educate future potential customers of what services BD14 can provide and what BD14 is all about. There will also be a page where potential employees / drivers looking for work can visit and be directed to what steps can be taken to join the BD14 team. Karl believes strongly in supporting local business like Jump-rope and says they have done a fantastic job so far. He is looking forward to having the website go live and for everyone to see it.

BD14 continues to advertise and interview drivers for this up and coming spring when the milk season begins with Symons transport. Due to the shortage of quality drivers within the local Manawatu region, Karl has been advertising outside of the area and is wanting to bring people into the district and supply them with accommodation to carry out work during this milk season. So far he has had a positive response to this and has already got drivers lined up to arrive in September from the Wellington and Hawkes bay area, as well as potentially guys from the Auckland region.

This month Karl George Burgess has also been in meetings with senior management from Linfox Auckland. There are plans being put in place to see BD14 recruit and feed drivers into Linfox work full time. This opens another door of opportunities for BD14 and potentially another service BD14 could provide in the future. Karl and the BD14 team look forward to exploring this avenue and are hopeful in seeing this service develop.

This month has also seen BD14 expand into the Tauranga area and wishes to welcome its first driver in this area. This is another step towards providing service with excellence to another region within New Zealand. BD14 looks forward to growing its reputation further in this region.
