Tennis New Zealand President and Chairperson, Celia Patrick, has been elected to the prestigious 13-person ITF Board of Directors which is the governing body of tennis globally, overseeing the administration and regulation of tennis along with organising international competitions, including Davis Cup and Fed Cup and the development and growth of the game worldwide.

“Tennis New Zealand is delighted by Celia’s appointment. This is the first time a New Zealander has held a position on the ITF Board and will certainly provide an excellent opportunity for New Zealand to have real influence over the future of the sport globally.   This is a fantastic result for Celia and tennis in this country.”

Sport New Zealand CEO Peter Miskimmin is thrilled to have a Kiwi serving on such an influential sporting Board of Directors. “To have a New Zealander on the board of the governing body of a global sport like tennis is great for tennis in this country and I would like to congratulate Celia on her election.”
