Since adding Turkey to their list of countries which offer sailing holiday destinations, MedSailors’ Turkish cruise has become one of their most popular sailing routes, as increasing numbers of people can’t wait to appreciate the myriad of experiences to be had. The Turquoise Coast is well known for its temperate climate, beautiful countryside and influential recognisable cuisine. This spectacular country also boasts a historic legacy that has helped shape modern culture and society, with famed sights such as Ephesus – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, multi-faceted Istanbul and the unforgettable white terraces of Pamukkale, the living testament to this legacy.

Turkey is less well known for the wonderful coastal towns and villages stretching along its southern shores, from Gocek, a short hop from Dalaman, to fishing harbour Fethiye continuing on to the famed Oludinez and Kas, home to Patara Beach and rare Loggerhead turtles. The MedSailors’ team could see that the expansion to Turkey was a natural path for them to follow as they felt it represented an undiscovered gem in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, offering their guests the perfect balance of partying, relaxation, history and sights and, of course, sailing.

MedSailors’ Turkish cruises begin in Fethiye, sailing on through Karacaoren, Kas Kalkan, Coldwater Bay, and the historic island of Gemiler and the famous Oludeniz beach, before sailing into the bustling town of Gocek. From there they sail to Skopea Limani Bay finishing back in Fethiye.

The highlights of this cruise include paragliding over Oludeniz beach, exploring ‘ghost town’  Kayaköy, and traditional Turkish baths in Fethiye and the incredible 20km long Sakikent Gorge. Guests can paddleboard across crystal-clear waters in secluded bays, snorkel the famous natural wonder the Blue Cave and wander the incredibly ancient Lycian Tombs.

MedSailors’ well-appointed Premier yachts offer all the luxuries guests would expect to ensure their sailing holiday is as relaxing as possible, where they can soak up the rays on the yacht’s large sunbathing deck, dive off the swimming platforms, and take to the helm for a once-in-a-lifetime learn-how-to-sail experience.

Sailing in their Premier Plus yachts is like getting an upgrade. These yachts are newer, having typically been launched between 2007/10. With the same spacious layout as the Premier yachts, they boast a more sleek design and a more modern interior, which add an extra touch of style and luxury to any sailing holiday.

MedSailors’ Turkish sailing holiday is becoming extremely popular so intending guests are urged to book early to avoid disappointment. To do so, and for more information please go to http://www.medsailors.com .
