Designer Wardrobe was founded in 2013 by Donielle Brooke and was originally a group for friends to get together and swap their designer clothes. Donielle soon realised that she needed a website and so Designer Wardrobe was born. Along the way the Designer Wardrobe team expanded from a team of one to a team of three, with Aidan Bartlett and Jarrad Salmon joining Donielle in her new and exciting venture, resulting in a vibrant community of over 40,000 members who all share a passion for designer clothing. Designer Wardrobe’s newest service is ‘DW Valet’ which is a service that makes it effortless to sell - members are able to simply request a free pre-paid shipping kit and get the item picked up by a Designer Wardrobe shipping partner. The team then manages the entire process on behalf of the seller, making it so simple to sell clothes online.

The DW Valet philosophy is, “Send your pre-loved items to us free. We do the rest.” This is a wonderfully simple service which can be accessed at https://designerwardrobe.co.nz/brands/valet and customers can request the free shipping kit with the click of a mouse. Designer Wardrobe will then send out a pre-paid valet bag and the customer can just pop in their items and request a pick-up. The DW team then checks the items, which must be in good condition and should be clean and freshly laundered with no stains, excessive tears or odours. It is also important that items sent are on the DW approved brand list.

The DW team then shoot and list the items and take care of photography, pricing, questions and shipping – in fact they take care of everything. People shop, the customer is paid when the item sells and the money is deposited straight into their bank account.
