4Guys Autobarn's Titan Makes a New Zealand First

4Guys Autobarn has scooped one of the first ever run of the 2016 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve Auto 5.0L Turbo Diesel 4x4 Double Cab.

“This is a major step for Nissan and the world,” says 4Guys Autobarn’s Monte Wells, “as this is the world’s first 1500 sized V8 Turbo Cummins Diesel Utility, making the Titan XD Platinum Reserve Nissan’s flagship model.”

“It’s the first run of this model ever produced and is only available in left hand drive so it is competition for the other big American trucks we have.  It’s the first V8 Turbo Diesel 1500-sized model in the world so it’s especially unique in New Zealand.”

4Guys Autobarn is conveniently located on Arthur Porter Drive, behind The Base, adjacent to access points to the Waikato Expressway running north and south.  It is one of the largest used car sales yards in New Zealand and boasts a range of more than 400 vehicles.  Although they are well known for their stock of American Muscle cars, they have a wide range of other vehicles.

“We have regularly stocked large American trucks such as the range of Ford 150 Raptors, F250s, F350s, GMC Denalis, Dodge Ram 1500s and 2500s and Chevrolet Silverados,” says Mr Wells.  “All of these we can source to order”.

“Our purpose is to serve the market that wants this sized vehicle.  We make it a reality by having all of these vehicles available in New Zealand and converted to right-hand drive to be fully compliant in New Zealand”.

Mr Wells says he believes the Nissan Titan trucks will be easy to find homes for in New Zealand.

“Nissan has been a staple in the New Zealand market for decades,” he says, “so we expect the Titan is something people will quickly become familiar with.”

“We will certainly be bringing more of these in and we’re interested to see how they stack up against the typical big American trucks”.
