Cambridge-based runner Camille Buscomb, who is sponsored by leading Hamilton hairdressers The Engine Room, has received a Prime Minister’s Sport Scholarship.

“All of us here at the Engine Room are extremely proud of Camille and this achievement,” says  Kaleb Phillippe, owner of The Engine Room.

Presented at a prestigious event at the Don Rowlands Centre, Lake Karapiro, The Prime Minister’s Sport Scholarships recognises the hard work and sacrifice made athletes, coaches, officials and support personnel.

“This scholarship enables Buscomb to focus on her studies whilst also training full time to reach her athletic goals. And we believe she can reach those goals,” adds Kaleb.

The Prime Minister’s Sport Scholarships provide financial assistance to high performance athletes, coaches, officials and support members as they juggle the demands of sport and study

“We have been supporting Camille for couple of years now and it’s always great to see her achieve great success,” adds Kaleb.

Camille’s next 5000m race is on May 1st in San Francisco.
