Debra Chantry Of Ventell Runs Great Workshops

Entrepreneurial Leadership Coach, Debra Chantry of Ventell Business Coaching recently led a workshop in Christchurch for the Food Innovation Network. Debra runs a lot of workshops around New Zealand for different industries, particularly concentrating on coaching for sustainable change.

This course was targeted at small and start-up businesses operating in, or planning to enter, the Food & Beverage sector, as well as those wanting to expand into new areas, or to simply get better at what they are doing, and was intended as an all-round overview of the key topics they should know about in order to operate successfully and grow their business. It was a full day intensive session led by The Icehouse, and was a really awesome opportunity for new and developing F&B businesses. The Icehouse, which has been working with New Zealand businesses for 14 years, delivered the workshop specifically for small F&B businesses in a relaxed way

Debra specialises in coaching for sustainable change for those who are in the early stages of starting up a business or busy ‘doing the doing’ in their small business and want to get their business working. As Debra says, “Workshops like this help people to think about the fundamental areas of their business, giving them focus and clarity on the ‘business side’ of their business, helping them to do this more efficiently and effectively, working smarter, not harder.”  

Debra talks about what people get out of these workshops and hopes they come away feeling supported, inspired and motivated, and stimulated with an easy to follow plan for their business. This can include learning about HACCP, Prototyping, Retailing and Packaging, Distribution, all things they need to know, but  also about ‘brand’ and how to create one that customers can relate to. Debra helps people to identify their best customers and how to get more of them, how to pitch their business and ‘sell’ more. Finally, getting to network with other business owners in a similar position helps them to go further, to set new goals and achieve better results, and as Debra says, it’s all about business and personal growth.
