Taupō has so many exciting family activities, it’s impossible to squeeze them all into two weeks of school holidays!
Christopher Logan, Front Office Manager at Suncourt Hotel and Conference Centre, on Lake Taupō’s waterfront, says the July school holidays are a great opportunity to see what Taupō has to offer in the winter.
“There are plenty of things for kids and families to do in Taupō in winter,” says Mr Logan, who took over Front office management of Suncourt in March.
“DeBretts and the AC Baths are excellent swimming facilities,” he says, “and there are lots of family friendly activities like Mini Golf, Lilliput Farm and the Indoor Climbing Wall. Of course everyone’s excited about the Taupō Winter Festival in the second week of the holidays.”
Mr Logan says Suncourt Hotel and Conference Centre is the ideal place for families to base themselves for their Taupō holiday, as it has a variety of room options available to suit the needs of any family, from studio rooms to one, two or three bedroom units. “There are also plenty of free activities, like walking trails and playgrounds,” adds Mr Logan.
