Christchurch hotel unveils stunning new restaurant development

Quality Hotel Elms, part of Choice Hotels Asia-Pac, has officially opened its stunning new restaurant, Fig Restaurant and Bar, to coincide perfectly with the upcoming summer dining season.  

The on-site hotel restaurant has undergone a significant renovation and re-brand, resulting in a modern, contemporary new look. The addition of a sunny courtyard area and expansive windows looking out onto the property’s gardens has also created a seamless indoor/outdoor flow.

From light bites to main courses, the innovative new menu features reinvented staples and imaginative signature dishes such as sumptuous smoked blue swimmer crab salad, beef cheek soft shell tacos, venison pink pepper carpaccio and sage brioche burgers.

Delicious dessert cocktails are the icing on the cake, from the dark chocolate and mint martini to the bourbon-laced caramel, banana and pretzel shake.

“We always do our best to source produce locally. We have a highly trained chef and a multi-lingual team that are passionate about providing the best possible service to each and every guest.

“Along with the new restaurant, we’ve also undertaken major upgrades to 50 rooms. Quality Hotel Elms is committed to enhancing every guest’s experience whilst visiting the Canterbury region,” says Hotel Manager Chris McLaughlin.

The Christchurch hotel was also recognised last month with a coveted Gold Award for its superior hospitality performance at the 2016 Choice Hotels Asia-Pac Franchisee Gold Awards held in Hobart, Tasmania.
