As featured on Seven Sharp last month, the Glen Eden Extreme Edge Star Wars Lego for Star ship finished on Oct 31st and raised several thousand dollars for Star ship Hospital, which was very gratefully received.

Glen Eden Extreme Edge’s ClimbZone area with state-of-the-art automatic belays makes the perfect family-friendly activity suited to family outings, school trips and children’s birthday parties, and is a great place for kids this school holidays. Kids don’t need any special climbing gear, and can simply go along in comfortable clothes and shoes or trainers

Harnesses and climbing shoes can be hired at the ClimbZone for a very reasonable price and there are always instructors on hand at all times to help out. They also stress they are disablement friendly.

The Rock Hoppers class is for 8-16 years, Monday 4.30 – 6.00, and Saturday 9.00 – 10.30. This Class is tailored for beginner to intermediate climbers looking to improve/gain basic climbing skills and technique. Throughout this course the Glen Eden staff focus on belay safety skills, climbing proficiency, gear, rope knowledge and training drills all taught in a fun-focused and safe environment. Towards the end of the course students are introduced and encouraged to start lead climbing.

The Super Hoppers class is for 10-17 years, Monday 6.30 – 8.30. This class builds further on the Rock Hopper class. In this class they focus on more advanced techniques, have a strong focus on personal safety, and rope management skills, lead climbing/belaying, abseiling and bouldering.  This is a fast-paced and challenging course, so Glen Eden Extreme Edge recommend at least one term completed in Rock Hoppers before graduating to Super Hoppers.

For those looking for a present for Christmas and don’t know what to buy, Glen Eden Extreme Edge have vouchers for sale as gifts which the recipient can use to climb or buy some great equipment from the range on display at their shop.
