Further sightings of escaped prisoner

There have been no further sightings of the escaped prisoner Casey George William BOWLER-MONCUR since the night of Wednesday 22 July 2009.

Overnight there has been the theft of clothing and the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle from the High Street Motueka area and there is a possibility that these are linked to BOWLER-MONCUR.

Te vehicle is a 1994 Jeep Cherokee coloured green. Registered number
ZI 2488.

Police ask that should you locate or see this vehicle that you contact the Police immediately.

While Police did not consider BOWLER-MONCUR to be dangerous he should not be approached.

While it is possible he may still be in the Motueka area he does have associates in Golden Bay, Queenstown and Dunedin. It is possible he is travelling between these areas.
