After several months of investigation, Counties-Manukau Police have executed a number of search warrants in relation to the Manufacture & Supply of methamphetamine.

The investigation by the District's Organised Crime Unit is part of a sustained Police crackdown on persons alleged to be responsible for the commercial manufacture and supply of the drug.

Search warrants were executed with the assistance of the Armed Offender's Squad and Clan Lab Squad at Papakura, Pukekohe and Hunua Addresses.

Quantities of white powder believed to be methamphetamine as well as chemicals and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine have been located at the addresses. Police have also located a quantity of cash, firearms and other drug paraphernalia.

Four men aged 43, 49,51 & 52 have been arrested and will appear in the Papakura District Court charged with manufacturing and supplying methamphetamine.

Police are not looking for anyone else in the syndicate which is alleged to have been operating in the Papakura Area for at least several months.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Lynch says the arrests should come as a warning to others involved in the manufacture and supply of methamphetamine that it is only a matter a time before Police will come knocking at your door.

The arrested men face maximum penalties of life imprisonment.

Police are actively seeking public assistance to continue putting pressure on the methamphetamine trade and help their communities rid themselves from those manufacturing & supplying the drug.
