ROTORUA

Slow and steady won the money for Catherine Cameron aboard Kahurangi Tardak in the horse grand prix at the two-day Dunstan Rotorua Spring Show today (Sunday).

Cameron (Cambridge) and the striking grey were one of three combinations through to the jump-off from the 13 starters at the one star show being held in Taupo.

First out was Lisa Coupe (Kumeu) on My Ocean Wave who notched a good time but dropped a rail. Then came Cameron who opted for a slow and steady clear.

Coupe was back again with her second mount Bates Amaretto MVNZ who had nothing to loose and while they had the fastest time, again took a rail.

Elle Phillips (Hamilton) and Guess Once More took the honours in the pony grand prix.
