Auckland Council’s Music in Parks’ March programme is bringing New Zealand’s finest musicians to some of Auckland’s most stunning parks and reserves.

Music lovers should book space in their diary on Sunday 18 March for Tim Finn’s concert at Three Kings Reserve, which promises to be the highlight of the summer.

Tim has carved out an illustrious career as a founding member of iconic Kiwi band Split Enz, member of international sensation Crowded House and talented solo artist.

“I’m looking forward to playing live and free for the people of Auckland,” says Tim.

“Music in Parks is always a summer highlight in Auckland and it’s great to be involved this year. The band and I have been playing festivals in Australia throughout the summer and are excited to be bringing our show to the Three Kings Reserve.

“I’m also excited to be playing alongside the talented Night Choir and Fagan and the People.”

March’s programme kicks off tonight with Summer Sounds presenting New Zealand blues kingpin Midge Marsden at Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve, supported by the Desotos.

It continues with Jazz at the Rotunda, presenting Caitlin Smith at the Puhoi Band Rotunda on Saturday 3 March.

Black Sand Diva and the Mira Lacey Quintet play the Auckland Domain Band Rotunda on Sunday 4 March.

In addition, this Sunday the Domain Wintergardens plays host to the Mamaku Project whose unique style of electro, world, jazz and dub promises to make for an unforgettable Sunday evening.

Also featured this March are the internationally acclaimed Nathan Haines, multi Tui award winning Tami Neilson, Ginger Brown and many more.
