Napier City Stormwater Bylaw 2012

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 83 and 86 of the Local Government Act 2002, that Napier City Council has adopted the above draft Bylaw.

The purpose of this Bylaw is to give a mandate for inspection and control of stormwater discharges from industrial and commercial properties and to introduce pollution prevention planning, in order to mitigate contamination risk.

The draft Stormwater Bylaw 2012 will be available for public comment from 10 September 2012 until 17 October 2012.

The Statement of Proposal and the proposed Bylaw will be available for public viewing throughout this period, at the Napier City Council offices, the Napier Public Library and the Taradale Library, and on the Napier City Council website www.napier.govt.nz (keyword: stormwater bylaw).

Submission forms can be obtained at the above locations, or filled in online.

Submissions close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 17 October 2012 at the office of the Works Asset Department, Napier City Council, 231 Hastings Street, and should be made in writing.

The hearing of submissions will be notified following the closure of submissions.
