iChildcare’s new App for your mobile phone takes all the stress and hassle out of trying to search for different providers, but the best part is, it’s free!
The simple to use App puts all the options at your finger tips, providing all the right tools to help you make an informed decision on your child’s education with a simple and easy to use application.

The easy to download App uses the GPS capabilities of your iPhone and Android smartphones to identify a comprehensive database of all licensed childcare providers within New Zealand.

Childcare providers have been provided with a basic listing, including the provider’s name and their location marked on an easy to use map.

The App is ideal for those who want to make an informed decision on of providers in their immediate neighbourhood or maybe, a convenient location close to work.
Details provided make it an easy decision to choose the right childcare based on the type of provider, care philosophy and staff qualifications. A keyword search allows users to identify providers by name as well as any other information provided within the listing.

The iChildcare website (www.ichildcare.co.nz) and App lists all childcare providers licensed by the Ministry of Education.
iChildcare App for iphone and ipad is available now in the iTunes Store.

This App has been developed by Jake Preston –  after years as a software developer working on small and large projects including Management Information Systems for a nationwide childcare provider in New Zealand. The inspiration for this App came from his wife Tiffani.

Tiffani saw the need for this app through her career as a trained Early Child Educator, working in various roles, from reliever through to centre manager in centres, home based care, special education and more recently in dealing with social service agencies.
