Sawmill fire in New Plymouth

Fire crews were kept busy after a blaze tore through a sawmill on the outskirts of New Plymouth last night.

7 crews crews from around New Plymouth responded to the Bell Block property shortly after 10:30 last night to find the building well involved.

It's believed the fire started in the planer mill of the building.

Fire crews left the scene at two this morning and investigations are continuing today.
