A taste of Mexico in Hamilton

From its beginnings as a moody space in Auckland’s Britomart, Mexico is excited to announce it is opening in Hamilton. A culinary haven that celebrates the vibrant, fresh and lighter side of Mexican cuisine, Mexico is drenched in bright colour and bold imagery, with a fast-paced and energetic atmosphere much like the streets of the Mexico.

Offering mouth-watering cuisine with a loud and lively vibe, MEXICO takes a light and fresh approach to Mexican fare. The flavours are big, spicy and complex with menu highlights including smokey beef arrachera taco, caramel braised pork quesadilla, and MEXICO’s infamous fried chicken.

MEXICO is the brainchild of Restaurateur Mimi Gilmour, and the gents from The Britomart Hospitality Company, who together offer a wealth of culinary experience and brilliance.

“We can’t wait to share this fantastic, well-rounded hospitality offering with Hamiltonians,” says Director, Mimi Gilmour.

“Mexico offers affordable, fresh Mexican food as well as a huge range of tequila and cocktails – what more could Hamilton ask for?!”

MEXICO can accommodate a celebration with friends, or a quick mid-week catch-up. Whatever the occasion, the experience is complemented by smiling staff and the hum of happy diners, helped along by jugs of fruity cocktails, top-shelf tequila and a long list of Mexican beers. All served at prices that will leave diners plenty of change to carry on their night, or come back for more later in the week.

MEXICO Hamilton will be the fourth MEXICO Food and Liquor restaurant, joining Britomart, Takapuna, and Sydney. Each venue boasts its own personality, along with consistent quality and service that MEXICO devotees love.
