Originally from the Coromandel, Kaleb trained in New Zealand as a stylist and then retrained in London. He then worked in the UK, Ireland Scotland, Italy and Melbourne, eventually finding his way back to New Zealand

From there Kaleb went on to work around New Zealand as a tutor for Servilles and then in the Waikato as an educator for Goldwell KMS Haircare. Kaleb has now amassed 14 years of experience and knowledge in cut and colour.

The commitment to eco-friendly practices can be found in all areas of the salon. All cleaning products used in the salon are from the eco store, even the towels are washed with a natural lavender wash. You can even enjoy your hair cut and colour while sipping on some organic Rocket coffee or herbal teas. 

 
The engine room hair oils are based on ‘prickly pear resins’. They are Sulphate free, gluten free and paraben free.  They are also fair trade and recyclable as well as preservative, colour and allergen free.
The Engine Room has teamed up with social media specialist Media PA to help them to share their vision of eco and natural hair products with the Waikato.

“By forecasting fashion trends we arm ourselves with innovative concepts designed to support new  trends as well as to suit our everyday salon client,” says Kaleb.
