Going to the chapel? Head to the Waiheke Wedding Fair

Waiheke Island is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, laid-back coastal lifestyle, artisan products, world-class venues and award-winning restaurants, wines and olive oils.

So it’s not surprising that it’s also one of the top wedding destinations in New Zealand with more than 1000 weddings taking place on the island each year at the Island’s many diverse locations offering vineyard, Tuscan, contemporary or coastal settings.

The Waiheke Wedding Fair will be held at Batch Winery on Waiheke Island on  20 October, 10am – 4pm, showcasing the huge talent pool of suppliers on the Island, and from Auckland, catering to the wedding industry.

The Fair will be a refreshing alternative to the traditional expo and visitors can sample local wines or enjoy a cocktail, listen to local entertainment, try local artisan food and be inspired by the many boutique vendors on-site.

Organiser, Sophia Cohen, Director of Coco Lily Events is also excited to announce the Fair’s major prize giveaway for one lucky bride to be and 3 of her friends or bridal party worth over $5000.  The “Ultimate Bachelorette Getaway on Waiheke” will include a weekend of girly fabulousness including such things as a beauty makeover, private bar tender, jewellery design by local jeweller Timmy Smith, an Ecozip adventure, wine tasting and lunch at Peacock Sky, breakfast and bubbly at The Oyster Inn (voted by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the world’s best Micro hotels) and much more!

Not only that the first 150 visitors to enter the Fair will receive a very special goodie bag.
