Finding a cure for breast cancer by 2018 just became more achievable with the announcement that the Breast Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) will become the official charity partner of EziBuy - New Zealand’s largest fashion and homeware multi-channel retailer.

“Breast Cancer Research Trust is a charity our customers have told us they’d like us to support,” says Edwina Neilson, General Manager of Marketing for EziBuy. “We’re really excited and proud to show our customers we listen to them, while supporting this worthwhile cause. It’s a perfect fit with our strong female customer-base.”

The statistics state that one in nine women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in NZ; which means one woman every three hours will be diagnosed with breast cancer and we will lose two women per day to this tragic disease. The new partnership will help raise awareness and funds for the charity, which is aiming to find a cure for breast cancer by 2018.

“With an extensive female customer-base, we have several mothers, daughters and sisters who shop with us,” says Neilson. “Our involvement is therefore directly helping find a cure for our customers that have been, or will be, affected.”

“Not only is it a truly worthwhile cause, but we respect that this not-for-profit organisation operates on a lean operation – meaning a high flow-through of funds raised goes towards finding a cure,” says Neilson.

Phillipa Green from BCRT says, “We are absolutely thrilled with this new partnership.  EziBuy is a successful business both in New Zealand and Australia, and we are confident this will be a long-term mutually beneficial relationship, where we both strive to achieve the goal of finding a cure for breast cancer by 2018.”
