The Warmup Cycling Team has three new members for the 2013/14 season, adding Tony Gibson, Greg Thompson and Gerard Rooney, bringing the team’s roster to 18.

The Christchurch based team is entering its sixth season and is a master’s team that features a number of riders that have won national and regional titles.

Team spokesperson John McKenzie says the team is built around a culture of ‘good mates that enjoy racing and riding together.’

“We looked to add a couple of riders that have performed well locally to strengthen up line-up for next year’s Benchmark Home Elite Cycling Series in particular,” he said. “We have a really good well rounded line-up that covers a few grades with a number of the guys that are really keen on time trails so we expect them to push each other in races against the clock this season.”

The team has continued support and sponsorship from heating systems company Warmup, Specialized concept store Chain Reaction, media and events company enthuse, mental fitness and business training company Total Training and Specialized.

The Warmup Cycling Team team roster for 2013/14 is;
Jason Revell, Kelly Chapman, John McKenzie, Lee Johnstone, Darren Burns, Arron Perriam
Mark Forsey, Dave Roche, Stephen Mark, Greg Scott, Glen Quantock, Al Bush, Wayne Smythe, Gerard Rooney, Stu Wise, Tony Gibson, Greg Thompson and Tony Cleall.
