The early bird entries are open for the new Feet ‘n’ Wheels Running Festival, at Hampton Downs MotorSport Park, on Sunday 12 October 2014.

Not just a run, a day full of entertainment and lots of prizes. It is a family fun day to get people active and adopt a healthier lifestyle.

When you register online, you will also help Life Education Trust to continue to bring their vitally important health messages to local children and youth.

Feet ‘n’ Wheels is the only people-powered race exclusively based at the MotorSport Park. The course has fast flats, gentle slopes and hairpin turns that promise to give participants of all abilities challenges and breathers.

Participants can choose between 2.7km run or walk, 2.7km foot scooter/skateboard race, 5km or 10km run or walk. Limited entries combined with a hot lap experience in a race car are on offer.

"We wanted to be able to provide something a little different with our races. There are not many opportunities for families to participate together these days, so our 2.7km race was designed to make it achievable for whole families or groups together.

The 5km and 10km races both give people more of a goal to achieve and especially with the 10km race, lead into longer more competitive distances in the future, whilst still providing a good challenge on the day.

Our foot scooter/skateboard race is very unique, imagine the freedom of speeding around a racetrack, something you can't do at any other time", says Dianne Craddock, Feet ‘n’ Wheels Race Director.

The venue is only a short drive from Auckland CBD or from Hamilton, and located away from the already busy Auckland roads, providing a secure place for all family to enjoy.
