Water Heating Guarantee Extended to Canterbury

Thousands of Canterbury residents will now have the same warranty on their continuous flow hot water heating appliances as is offered to the rest of New Zealand thanks to ongoing research and development conducted by Rinnai.

Previously  Rinnai’s ‘peace of mind’ standard warranty on its Rinnai INFINITY ® gas hot water standard range excluded units installed in Christchurch due to the corrosive water in Canterbury damaging continuous flow units.

However, Rinnai’s managing director Ray Ferner says, “After a successful four year performance review of the brand’s water heaters in the region, along with continuing product improvement, the company is ‘confident’ when it comes to making this product warranty change.”

The warranty will now cover parts and labour for Christchurch and greater Canterbury consumers.

“It was important to us to do something to help the Christchurch region during the lengthy re-build process. This change will deliver a much wider range of continuous flow water heater solutions for Rinnai customers in Christchurch at lower appliance costs.”

Mr Ferner says, “In addition to all Rinnai appliances meeting or exceeding the stringent safety standards required by New Zealand gas and electrical regulations, the company is continually looking for ways to improve its hot water heating solutions and customer service.”
