Switch, the multidisciplinary design studio based in Auckland has now been around for over 15 years, executing creative ideas across the gamut of channels that modern society has to offer. From traditional print media and branding, to spatial experience and environments, Switch has been involved in these exciting times. There are more opportunities today for a business’s brand, and this forces the Switch team to extend their thinking well beyond the norm. They have long since stopped thinking singularly and now consider every touch point as an exciting extension of a brand’s engagement, no matter where or how this is delivered.

With their many years of experience the team at Switch have gathered a wealth of knowledge and involvement which broadens their strength as a multidisciplinary design studio, forging strong skills sets in creative direction, art direction, branding, identity, packaging and design for print, image (both photography and video), online digital and spatial, while also ensuring they can deliver their creations through sound project and production management systems to ensure projects are implemented as envisioned. At Switch they like to constantly challenge themselves and average isn’t a word used in the studio, and while they love technology, they still believe there is a place for good old fashioned craft.

The Switch team like to think they are quite good at a great many things, and their size means they give their clients the personal attention they deserve. They actually like the word ‘collaborate’ because it has four syllables and can’t be put into txt speak very easily, and often requires many hands. Switch love to play with others and do it well, making sure they are judged by the quality of their creative friends as much as their own work.

The team at Switch will also give anything a go as they believe that is how you learn. They are a studio who love the tactility of design, preferring to see a job from conception through to output, using the strong relationships they have with their stable of partners. These include established players such as Nike, (New Zealand and Australia), Spicer’s Paper, Argenta Pharmaceuticals, Columbus Coffee, MINI and Barker’s Menswear, and also smaller entities such as Mondiale Freight Services & Digital, Island Telecommunications who may need a fresh voice.
