SureStop wins The Dental Advisor award for Top Hemostatic Dressing.

Chicago-based GM Scientific’s product Surestop has received major international recognition by winning the  award for “Top Hemostatic Dressing” in the 2015 Dental Advisor’s product awards.

SureStop was voted unanimously as the winners of the award. “I am delighted to win such a prestigious title in our first year of operation and we must thank all our USA distributors for all their hard work in helping us achieve this award,” says Leigh McKenzie,  the part owner  of GM Scientific and business development manager of the Surestop range of products.

SureStop is the brand name for an extensive range of  wound care dressings, which have been in use for several years, and which have only recently gained FDA certification internationally.

The Hemostatic Dressing is a plant-based Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) haemostatic agent.

The Hemostatic Dressing is used in a wide range of dressing formats to cover trauma, surgery, dental, nasal, post-trauma and post-surgery, which are now being introduced to the world market with widespread acclaim.


The award winning product for the existing SureStop range comprises the hemostatic dressing.  The annual global spend on hemostatic agents in the hospital sector alone is estimated to be $3b - $4b.  This excludes pre-hospital, military, dental and other applications.
