Recently the Creative Director of Rodney Wayne, Richard Kavanagh, was announced as the winner of the Session Stylist of the Year at the Australia Hair Expo. This is a huge honour for both Richard and the entire Rodney Wayne label. As the global creative director for Rodney Wayne, New Zealand’s largest salon group, Richard is responsible for developing and interpreting global trends for the Rodney Wayne stylists through seasonal campaign shoots. Moreover, he is privileged to be able to create an education and coaching programme for the elite group of artists who impact the lives through training of the 400 or so staff in the group, who in turn make the 5000 or so women they see each week feel good about themselves. As Richard says, “It is my passion to develop and fuel an award winning culture within the group.
