Ames It Offer Scholarships Targeting Women And Maori Students

The experienced team at AMES IT Academy understand that winning a scholarship could make all the difference to intending students and they are pleased to offer a number of scholarships in 2015, awarded to the value of NZ$3,500. This scholarship for one year only is a rebate against programme fees or to StudyLink if a debt exits.
The purpose is to encourage full time study at AMES IT by assisting with payment of programme tuition fees for students who are New Zealand residents enrolling in any AMES IT programmes. These scholarships are funded by AMES IT Academy and students may apply for more than one scholarship. Key Scholarship Criteria are as follows:
• Students must be enrolled on a full course programme (12 weeks duration or more) and have met specific programme entry requirements as outlined in the relevant Terms of Reference. In particular:
•Can show evidence of the ability to undertake tertiary study
•Can exhibit a high motivation and ability to succeed at a tertiary level
•Demonstrate the need for financial assistance that may prevent their ability to succeed
Successful applicants must complete the Ames IT Acceptance and Agreement Contract that states the recipient's acceptance of the Scholarships agreement to perform any obligations, as stated in the Terms of Reference.
Scholarships for Maori students at Ames IT are open to New Zealand residents of Maori descent, studying full time towards a nationally recognised qualification at Ames IT Academy and priority is given to those who can demonstrate their involvement in Te Ao Maori, are studying towards a tertiary qualification in the forthcoming academic year and can show evidence of the ability to undertake tertiary study. The maximum allocation is NZ$3,500 and this scholarship is a rebate against programme fees.
Scholarships for Women aim to support female students at AMES IT and is open to women who are New Zealand residents intending studying full time towards a nationally recognised qualification at Ames IT Academy. Priority is given to those who are women students experiencing financial pressure and are women students studying towards a tertiary qualification in the forthcoming academic year. The maximum allocation is NZ$3,500 and this scholarship is a rebate against programme fees.
