Leading global innovators of healthcare products, Chicago-based GM Scientific, are excited to announce the most advanced hemostatic dressing,  SureStop Xtra.

The traditional methods to stop bleeding are mainly applying pressure whereas  SureStop Xtra is designed to stop minor to severe venous hemorrhage without the need of direct compression to the wound.

Approved for severe traumatic bleeding, Surestop Xtra is a sterile soluble hemostatic dressing made of regenerated cellulose. SureStop Xtra is a CE and FDA approved fully implantable hemostatic device.

“SureStop Xtra lives up to GM Scientific goal of offering medical professionals quality products that can improve patient care,” says Leigh McKenzie, business development manager of Surestop.

“At GM Scientific we are really thrilled to launch this exciting product on the market. We believe it will have real benefits for those in the medical industry,” says McKenzie

“What makes SureStop Xtra is unique is that it is manufactured with a molecular structure designed to entrap platelets and coagulants in a modified physical molecular matrix specifically designed to create a hemodynamic polymer membrane,” McKenzie said.

“SureStop Xtra has high adherence and resilience which means it is able to withhold massive blood pressure and restrict blood flow almost immediately,” adds McKenzie.

The molecules transform and activate the natural copulation process up to five times more efficiently than existing products, which makes it perfect for medical professionals in any field.

SureStop Xtra is ideal for; Traumatic bleeding and severe trauma, surgical procedures, Emergency Medical Services, Internal use, Dental, ENT, First Responders, Military, Sports Medicine, Wound Care, OBGYN and Catheterization.

The award-winning SureStop product range also includes hydrogel dressings for non-healing wounds, and silicone gel sheets to reduce scarring from trauma or surgery.
