Since beginning business in 1996, Purebread has been totally owned and operated by a down to earth New Zealand family.

Robert Glensor has 18 years experience with many more as a home baker and is committed to the support of organic agriculture which ticks the “truly healthy” box.

Jocelyn, a mother of five, has 12 years’ experience in the industry and worked her way from a bread slicer to administration and despatch manager. The team also includes Philip, who is newly back as company production manager and has growing experience of the baking industry.

Purebread have a stable of awards to their name including the National Sustainable Business Of The Year for 2008 and were the only small business to achieve this. They also won the Organic Enterprise award in 2010.

Purebread also gets heavily involved with the community by way of social giving and the continuation of supplying healthy (pesticide free) products to a national audience and “offering valuable support to schools, kindergarten and supplying organic veggie seeds for their growing programmes.

POEP (Purebread Organic Education Programme) supplies hundreds of thousands of sachets of organic veggie seeds to many organisations nationwide.
