Chinese testing backs Waikato-Based SummerGlow Apiaries as producers of genuine Manuka Honey at the Fourth China Health Food Expo.

Waikato- based SummerGlow Apiaries is pleased to see that the Manuka ID Project is accumulating international attention with The UMF(Unique Manuka Factor) Honey Association co-presenting at the 4th China Health Food Expo with The Jiangsu Entry and Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of the People's Republic of China (JSCIQ).
The JSCIQ is one of China’s leading testing laboratories specializing in honey.
The UMF Honey Association was invited to share a booth with the JSCIQ at the Expo and cooperatively showcase two presentations at the event. The presentations emphasised the high level of collaboration between both parties in forming best practice science outcomes, and in implementing the findings and outcomes of the Manuka ID Project.
The Expo gave the the UMF Honey Association an extraordinary occasion to highlight three years of extensive collaboration between the two organisations, certifying that testing regimes are aligned and consumers in China can purchase Manuka Honey with confidence and that they are safeguarded and not worry about by deceitful products.
The China Health Food Expo was approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China and was first launched by the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA) in 2012. It is now an annual event which delivers excellent and professional opportunity for members of the global health food industry including suppliers, traders, distributors and industry.
The UMF Honey Association consists of more than 40 companies currently licenced to use the UMF® quality trademark. This quality mark has been in existence for more than 18 years and provides protection and assurance to the consumer.
