Ollie Dale of Virtually Famous fame recently relaunched his weekly podcast called MGAPXL, a rebrand of a 50 episode show he did called The Creation Wars. Ollie’s new weekly show, broadcast on YouTube and designed for photographers is called MGAPXL (megapixel).

Each week the show features one special guest, a photographer of any genre, and together with two co-hosts the show dives in to photographic and video related stories, critiques of images, and conversations about gear.

The show revolves around a Google plus community (http://www.MGAPXL.club), where members can submit photographs for critique, comment on other photos and any related stories. "We felt there was a need for a regular conversation about photography, and a light-hearted and fun, but at the same time educational, way.

"Each week we have a new guest, and they usually have a completely new way of looking at photography. this means the flavour of each show changes, and it's intended that the viewer learns that there are many ways to look at photography and the world."

While Ollie Dale is based in Auckland, New Zealand, the two co-hosts also bring an international flavour. Stuart Davidson is based in Scotland, and Tanya Wallis is based in Australia.

The show is run on a volunteer basis and is designed to encourage photographic education, especially through the online photographic tutorial website http://www.thearcanum.com .

Ollie has been involved in professional photography since 2003 and as he puts it, the crux of great imagery is an understanding of photography. Ollie has been at the forefront of award-winning photography and extensive experience in almost every genre since 2003.
