A third-party logistics provider (abbreviated 3PL, or sometimes TPL) is a firm that provides service to its customers of outsourced or third party logistics services for part, or all of their supply chain management functions. Third party logistics providers typically specialise in integrated operation, warehousing and transportation services that can be scaled and customised to customers' needs based on market conditions, such as the demands and delivery service requirements for their products and materials.

At B2C Logistics 3PL is fast delivery made easy. They receive, store and process their clients’ orders, with a pick/pack and deliver process. B2C stands for Business to Consumer Logistics, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Urgent Couriers Limited (UCL). Urgent Couriers is the recognised leader in the fast delivery market and has been in business since 1989 providing point-to-point deliveries to New Zealand customers.

Some of B2C Logistics’ competitors have recently advertised that their 3PL is now full, so B2C Logistics want their customers to know that they have plenty of capacity, as well as offering supply chain and solutions. At B2C they recognise the responsibility they take when their customers decide to entrust their vital storage, fulfilment and delivery capability to them, as it can be a scary thought not controlling this vital customer delivery function in-house. Since 1989 Urgent Couriers has taken the final mile responsibility for the most time critical deliveries for thousands of businesses.

B2C Logistics provide fast moving business to business storage and logistics, and don’t just store for delivery to consumers. They can also pick and pack quickly and deliver to business customers. They also provide some considerable cost savings, including the fact that their customers only pay storage for the warehouse space they require at any given time. Customers only pay transaction fees when stock is moved in or out, meaning they only pay a share of the wages of the warehouse team when required. Similarly, customers’ freight rates will work out more cheaply as B2C Logistics agglomerate all of their customers’ freight spend. Obviously, significant savings are made over people not having to buy and operate fork hoists and software inventory systems. In all functions of the 3PL ecosystem B2C Logistics bring that same rigour that ensures their customers will receive an at least comparable experience to having their own warehouse, with all of the cost savings brought about by the flexibility of 3PL.
