Suncourt Hotel Celebrates Winter with the Taupō Winter Festival

Taupō is hosting its first-ever Winter Festival these July school holidays and Taupō’s Suncourt Hotel and Conference Centre is looking forward to festival-goers checking into their quality rooms for the duration of the three days of festivities.
The winter festival was created by ‘The One Taupō Charitable Trust’, with the aim of giving back to the Taupō community and providing an opportunity for locals and visitors to experience the arts and culture that Taupō has to offer.
The festival will be running for three days during the July school holidays, from Thursday 14 July to Sunday 17 July. It will feature attractions for all ages, from light shows to rides, live music and entertainment, a giant mural to colouring in competitions and even a free community pancake breakfast.
The Suncourt Hotel and Conference Centre is situated on Lake Taupō’s waterfront, close to town and easily accessible to the festivities.
“I’m looking forward to the vibe there will be around Taupō during the festival,” said Suncourt’s Front Office Manager, Christopher Logan. “There’s been a lot of work done promoting the festival around New Zealand and we expect plenty of visitors to be arriving in town.”
Located on Lake Taupō’s waterfront, the Suncourt Hotel boasts magnificent views of Lake Taupō and the mountains, is a short walk to Taupō’s cafes and shops and offers a variety of rooms to suit all guests, from families to corporate travellers.
The venue includes an on-site restaurant and five function and conference rooms.
Mr Logan says his best tip for people intending to stay at the Suncourt Hotel and Conference Centre is to always book directly with the hotel to get the best deal.
