There are plenty of booking sites on the internet, promising to give travellers the best possible deal.  These sites often pop up when someone uses a search engine to look for hotels in the area they’re interested in, or when searching for a specific hotel. 

However, Mr Logan says everything is not as it seems and in actual fact, most hotels would prefer to give their guests the best available rate for their room, rather than pay a commission to a booking site.
