The picturesque The Lake House at Karapiro will provide the setting for a unique equine art exhibition by Cambridge artist Catherine Haworth early next month.

 

The ‘Horse Portraits’  exhibition will be on display at the The Lake House on September 2 and 3.

 

The ‘Horse Portraits’ paintings exhibition is ideal for both art and horse lovers alike. Entry is just a gold coin donation with the proceeds going to Para Equestrian Training Trust.

 

The exhibition is the culmination of a life-long passion of horses and art for Catherine Haworth. The quality of her equine work is already capturing the attention of a number of equine experts including Sir Patrick Hogan.

 

The idea to stage the inaugural exhibition of Haworth’s collection came from Sandy Dillon who has had a long association with the equine industry and instantly recognized Haworth’s attention to detail with her artwork.

 

The Waikato has a proud history with horses and the horse racing industry with numerous world leading stud farms calling the Waikato home and many champion horses having been bred on Waikato pastures. So this is a prime opportunity to celebrate our equine friends.
