This year’s colourful, free Far North District Guide is winging its way to Far North mail and post boxes this week as 30,000 copies are readied for distribution throughout the district.

It’s the third year of the popular guide, produced by the Far North District Council and the Northern Advocate, and jam packed with useful information about the council and its services and the communities that make up the Far North district.

The guide is helpful for both residents and visitors, providing useful information in one easy to keep booklet that will arrive in mail and post boxes during the next few days.

It offers people current information about council services and facilities available to communities and contains details about such things as refuse transfer stations and operating hours, locations of boat ramps, libraries, swimming pools, parks, playgrounds and public toilets, along with how to contact the council, make a request, book an appointment and other worthwhile information.

Extra copies of the guide will be available from council service centres, libraries and information centres around the district by the end of next week. New Far North property owners will also receive a copy when they move into the area.
