The Lake Taupo Protection Trust is offering experienced project managers the opportunity to be involved in New Zealand's largest ever environmental project.
The trust – which has a taxpayer and ratepayer-funded budget of $81.5 million - has the job of reducing nitrogen within the Lake Taupo catchment by 20 per cent by June 2019 or earlier.
Skills required for the challenging project director’s position include business and financial acumen, central and local government knowledge, political awareness, project management, problem solving and negotiation.
The role – which will be mainly Hamilton-based – will begin next year.
